9th Annual California's Artisan Cheese Festival Event Lineup Announced

PETALUMA, CA 

Fear not cheese lovers, California’s Artisan Cheese Festival is back.

From March 20^th - 22^nd, some of the industry's biggest names will be gathering together in the Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma to celebrate all things cheese. Each year for the last nine years, California’s Artisan Cheese Festival has brought together artisan cheesemakers, cheesemongers, authors, chefs, brewers, winemakers and enthusiastic guests for three days of cheese tasting, education and celebration.

“California’s Artisan Cheese Festival has become a beloved yearly tradition for local foodies and cheese lovers,” said Festival Executive Director Judy Groverman Walker. “Over the course of the last nine years the Festival’s offerings have gotten better and better. From farm tours where guests can interact with the animals and hands-on cheese-making classes, to educational seminars led by world-class cheese experts, there truly is something for everyone.”

According to a press release, 2015's itinerary will include:

• Farm Tours & Lunch (8:30 am to 3:30 pm Friday, March 20^th): Festival goers will be able to take part in a series of six farm tours. On these tours, guests will experience the cheese making process first-hand, meeting the cheesemakers, seeing how their favorite cheeses are made, and, of course, tasting the finished products.
• Cheesemonger’s Duel - The Best Bite (6 to 9 pm, Friday, March 20^th): California’s Artisan Cheese Festival will pit local cheesemongers against one another in the fun-spirited competition. This new event will be judged and emceed by celebrity chef Ryan Scott in the big top in the Tasting Tent at the Sheraton Sonoma County.
• Seminars, Cooking and Pairing Demonstrations (9:30 to 11:30 am & 1:30 – 3:30 pm, Saturday, March 21^st)
• Chefs vs. Chefs – The Best Bite(6-9 pm, Saturday, March 21^st): 25 of the Bay Area's best chefs and caterers go head to head, pitting their best cheese inspired dishes against each other.
• Sunday Bubbles and Brunch with Surprise Local Chef(9:30 to 11 am, Sunday, May 22^nd)
• Artisan Cheese Tasting & Marketplace(12 to 4 pm, Sunday May 22^nd)
