BI-LO has announced that Anthea Jones, industry veteran and longtime employee, has been promoted to the role of President. Jones is also serving as SVP. He fills the role vacated by former President and CEO Michael Byars. The changes took place in January; however, no official announcement has been made, according to the Shelby Report.
According to Jones’ Linkedin, as reported by Shelby, he will responsible for sales, earnings and enhancing the customer experience through effective customer service while maintaining a strong brand identity across 206 stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.
After 17 years at Food Lion, Jones joined the BI-LO team in 1999. He was most recently SVP of Store Operations. He holds a B.S. in economics and statistics from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Shepperton University
Randall Onstead continues as president and CEO of the combined company, BI-LO Holdings LLC.
