The National Restaurant Association is announcing that Atalanta, a leading foodservice company, is the recipient of two top honors of the 2014 Food & Beverage Innovations Awards for its Sweety Drop Peppers and its imported Pivetti Skura Nera Pizza Flour, according to a press release.
The awards are meant to identify new products that provide new profit opportunities, and they are voted on by a diverse panel of foodservice professionals.
Pivetti Skura Nera Pizza Flour is the latest product which offers innovation for the pizza and pasta industries. The black ash flour is distinct and is produced by slow-roasting wheat to achieve a hearty, toasted flavor and deep smoky color. Traditionally, Skura Nera is refered to as gran arso or "burnt grains". This flour allows for an ideal artisan taste and presentation for pizzas, pastas and breads.
Sweety Drop Peppers from Atalanta are sweet, little tear drop-shaped peppers which have a bright red color. This pepper originated in the Amazon rainforest. A unique topping for salads, pizzas or baked goods, it has a sweet flavor and distinctive crunch.
Skura Nera Pizza Flour and Sweety Drop Peppers are part of an extensive line of award-winning products from Atalanta. The company will be at this year's National Restaurant Association Show, in Booth #2540, as well as the annual International Pizza Expo, Booth #347. Atalanta
