One Earth Farms, a subsidiary of Sprott Resource Corp., has announced the acquisition of Toronto-based Beretta Farms Inc., a purveyor of hormone and antibiotic free branded meat products in consideration of an undisclosed amount in cash as well as shares in One Earth Farms.
Mike and Cyntha Beretta founded Beretta Farms 20 years ago. With the help of their partner of the last ten years, Elvio DelZotto, they have grown the Beretta name into a market-leading brand of fresh beef, poultry, deli products, and meal solutions in the greater Toronto and Vancouver markets. Beretta Farms products are available through select grocery chains, leading natural and organic retailers, direct home delivery, and a specialty catering operation, according to a statement.
Mike Beretta will join the executive team as the Chief Operating Officer of One Earth Farms.
