LOUISVILLE, OH
Biery Cheese Company has completed its acquisition of Kickapoo Valley Cheese on November 1st. Although terms of the transaction were not disclosed, Kickapoo Valley has now begun operating under Biery Cheese, according to a press release.
Ben Biery, CEO of Biery Cheese, says he is excited about being able to bring on the KVC facility into the Biery Cheese Family. “Both organizations share in the belief of service and innovation of packaging, coupled with generations of experience. Continuing with our tradition of growth, this addition will help us strategically position our company to service our existing customers along with developing new customers.”
Jim Leytus, former owner of Kickapoo Valley Cheese, says he transfers the ownership of his company with confidence and a clear conscious, noting that Biery Cheese’s impressive growth curve, excellent reputation, and desire to participate in the Wisconsin Dairy industry can help carry on the work and tradition of KVC, retain current employees, take care of its loyal customers, and give priority consideration to all of its suppliers and service providers. “I will miss the friends, customers, suppliers, employees, and the overall energy and pride we all take in the dairy industry,” says Leytus.
What will Biery Cheese have in store for the future?
Congratulations to both Biery Cheese and Kickapoo Valley Cheese on this successful acquisition!
