Chobani is expanding its portfolio of products along with new marketing initiatives for 2015.
This expansion features several new products including Chobani Kids™ & Chobani Tots™ Greek Yogurt Pouches, Chobani® Greek Yogurt Oats – Ancient Grain Blend and new Chobani Flip Creations™.
“People are hungry for better food options throughout the day and we'll continue to fuel our growth with products that fill gaps in the market and meet consumer needs,” said Peter McGuinness, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at Chobani. “Our newest platform for kids and tots is one our most important, offering delicious, healthy food that has been designed especially for young ones.”
To launch its new platform designed for kids and tots, Chobani Kids™ and Chobani Tots™ Greek Yogurt Pouches will prominently feature well-loved Disney and Marvel characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Spider-Man on packaging. Chobani Kids™ offers 8g of protein and 25% less sugar than the leading kids' yogurt in kid-approved flavors. Chobani Tots™ Greek Yogurt Pouches have whole milk Greek Yogurt blended with real fruits and vegetables, 12mg of Omega-3 DHA, and live and active cultures, giving a nutritious and delicious Greek Yogurt option for babies and toddlers, according to a press release.
Chobani is also continuing its focus on oatmeal by introducing Chobani® Greek Yogurt Oats – Ancient Grain Blend. This breakfast includes natural ingredients in each cup with 10g of whole grains, 10g of protein and 3g of fiber. Additionally, the company is unveiling new products for the successful Chobani Flip Creations™. The company is focusing on crowd-pleasing ingredients flavors such as hazelnut in its Chocolate Haze Craze™ and Salted Caramel Crunch.
"Flavor innovation is a big part of the specialness of our brand. We were the first Greek Yogurt company to launch flavors like pomegranate, passion fruit, watermelon and grapefruit, so it's natural for us to be first with flavors like Green Tea that excite the shelf, the category and, importantly, our consumers," continues McGuinness.
On the marketing front, this year the brand will introduce Sundance Film Festival goers to its Chobani Creation™ bar, which offers a full cafe experience with everything from yogurt dusted popcorn, to sweet and savory yogurt creations made by Chobani's Executive Chef, Chef Tim Reardon. Additionally, Chobani will be continuing its partnerships with the United States Olympic Committee and IMG College to naturally fuel athletes and fans while increasing their brand awareness.
McGuinness adds, “We see significant room for growth and, as the leader, we feel it's our right, role and responsibility to curate the category with the best possible options out there. Our marketing in the coming year will focus especially on driving trial and raising awareness, including national campaigns, event marketing and sampling programs that introduce even more people to our products and the category.”
