Comte Cheese Association Annoucing 3rd Annual Scholarship at ACS Conference

SACRAMENTO, CA

The Comté Cheese Association (CIGC) will be continuing its tradition of generosity with the announcement of its 3rd annual scholarship for American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professionals™ (ACS CCP) at this year's ACS Conference.

According to a press release, the scholarship opportunity is available to all cheese experts who have passed the CCP exam. By submitting a short entry form and essay question, applicants put themselves in the running for an all-expenses-paid trip to the Comté region of France to study the area's rich history and why its cheese makers are among the best in their field.

Entrants will be judged by:

  • Greg O’Neill: Owner of Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine & Former Board President of the American Cheese Society
  • Cathy Strange: Global Cheese Buyer, Whole Foods Market, Inc.
  • Max McCalman, Maître Fromager: Author, Speaker, Consultant and Educator.

All applications for the Comté Cheese Association's scholarship must be submitted by October 13th. To enter eligible participants can either download an application from Comté's website by clicking here or pick one up at the ACS Conference from July 29-August 1st. Comté will also be hosting a networking salon table on Wednesday, July 30th at the Conference where anyone looking to learn more about the opportunity can talk one on one with a CIGC representative.
