PT REYES STATION, CA
Building upon the momentum of the artisanal cheese industry, Cowgirl Creamery Co-founders Sue Conley and Peggy Smith have recently released Cowgirl Creamery Cooks, a new book that shares not only the story of the Cowgirls, but also the rise of the organic food movement and creating an artisanal creamery.

Accompanying these stories is a collection of recipes with 75 appetizers, soups, salads, snacks, entrees, and desserts that showcase cow-, goat-, and sheep-milk cheeses, according to a press release. These recipes, all portrayed with beautiful photographs from Hirsheimer & Hamilton, include
Chilled Spring Garlic and Asparagus Soup with Crème Fraîche and Fresh Ricotta; Raclette with Boiled Potatoes and Quick Pickles; Earl Grey Panna Cotta; and
Three-Cheese Lasagna with Wild Mushrooms and Spinach.

It’s a fun, engrossing, and educational read that no cheese lover should miss out on! The book can now be ordered online via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Indiebound.
