Eckrich Launches Fire-Roasted Pepper and Onion Smoked Sausage


LISLE, IL

Eckrich had added Fire-Roasted Pepper & Onion Smoked Sausage to its product lineup.  This is the company’s first fire-roasted offering.

“We are excited about this new variety in the Eckrich smokes sausage portfolio,” said Chuck Gitkin, John Morrell Food Group Vice President of Marketing, Innovation and R&D.  “The fresh, fire-roasted vegetables bring a unique and delicious zest to our Eckrich smoked sausage.

According to a press release, this product is cooked over natural hardwood and direct flames. The Fire-Roasted Pepper & Onion Smocked Sausage is made with fresh-picked peppers and onions that makes for a flavorful bite.

Gitkin added, “We know that consumers are already eating our smoked sausage with sautéed peppers and onions, and this new variety allows them to enjoy that great flavor combination without having to go through all of the extra steps.  We are always looking for new and unique flavors, and with our fan-favorite smoked taste, this is another distinctive smoked sausage that you can only find from Eckrich.”
