CHARLOTTE, NC
Hissho is celebrating with one eye on where it’s been and one where it’s going.
Friday, April 17, is the sushi company’s 17th birthday. While it’s not your typical milestone, the amount of growth Hissho has experienced over the last year alone has made it one.
The company’s 17th year has been marked with the opening of 250 new locations, the addition of over 5,000 square feet to its Charlotte-based headquarters, and a whole new concept it rolled out in many locations for a hot bar channel, according to a press release.
A far cry from when CEO Phillip Maung started the company in 1998 with only $13 in his pocket, Hissho Sushi now has 805 stores in 40 different states.
And the company plans to stay in motion.
“As Hissho moves forward, the momentum is growing, and with our loyal customers, the next year should prove to also be good,” the company stated in the release.
While the release did not state the exact strategies, it will be interesting to see where the company goes from here.
