In Memoriam Fred Nicholls

Fred “Mac” Nicholls, former owner of Maplehurst Dairy Products in Indianapolis, has passed away at the age of 87.

He is being recognized as a pioneer in the industry whose generous contributions have made a lasting impression on Maplehurst’s future.

Fred was born on January 11, 1926 at Brazil, and was the son of the late Fred and Olive (Whitaker) Nicholls. He was married to Edith Lucille (Johnson) Nicholls on June 17, 1951, and she preceded him in death on February 18, 2008.

He is survived by his sons, Fred M. Nicholls and wife Terri, Poland, and David M. Nicholls and wife Karen G., Reelsville; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on December 19 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Interment is in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
