Oscar Mayer is announcing the launch of its new Old World Style deli meat line. The new brand line will have four flavors, Classic Salami, Classic Pepperoni, Turkey Pepperoni, and my personal favorite Cracked Black Pepper Salami. Oscar Mayer is confident customers are going to love the new tastes.
"There's no doubt that Italian-style sandwiches are gaining popularity, on restaurant menus and at home," said Tom Bick, senior director of integrated marketing and advertising at Oscar Mayer. "We want to help food fans revamp their brown-bag-lunch routines, and the Old World Style meats offers an authentic option for the whole family to enjoy."
Indeed lunch meats have been gaining in popularity over the years, considering that the average American eats 25% more sandwiches than their 2006 counterpart, according to a press release. Added together with the growing trend towards bold and international flavor profiles, and Oscar Mayer believes its Old World line will be the perfect fit for this evolving consumer market.
In addition to being a quick and easy option for flavorful meals on the go, Oscar Mayer also highlights that Old World deli meats are an excellent source of protein, with up to 8 grams per serving, according to a press release.
Old World Style deli meats will be available at participating retailers nationwide. Each product comes in specially designed packaging, crafted to promote the 'old world' look and feel of the meat. All four varieties will be sold in 4oz packages, with a recommended retail price of $3.29.
