Patrick Cudahy to Open New Bacon Slicing and Packaging Facility in 2015


CUDAHY, WI 

Patrick Cudahy is undertaking a $12.1 million expansion to its Cudahy, Wisconsin headquarters with the construction of a new bacon slicing and packaging facility. The biggest advantage of the the new facility will be how it will make the production lines for the company's retail, deli and foodservice products more efficient.

"We are excited be making such a large investment into the future of Patrick Cudahy," said Bill Otis, President, Patrick Cudahy, LLC. "Everything we do in the development of our production facility is to further the growth of our brand and this will be a huge step. Though it will not add additional jobs, our goal is that the technology implemented in this new facility will benefit both our employees and the people who purchase Patrick Cudahy."

According to a press release, construction on the 16,500 square-foot facility is expected to begin later this fall and will be completed in time for a grand opening in November 2015. The company is excited about its potential, once finished, to enhance its start-to-finish production and distribution process.
