Placon Corporation is introducing Evolutions™, its new line of environmentally friendly deli containers that offer tamper-evident lids with tight-fitting, high performance seals that ensure maximum product freshness. The product answers the growing demand for deli containers manufactured with green, recycled material.
The line features easy open/easy close recyclable deli containers, created from 100% EcoStar recycled PETE, a material derived from curbside collected PETE bottles. The fantastic clarity for visual impact and strong leak resistance that the containers feature, make them ideal for cold, ready-to-eat deli foods including salads, fruit and vegetables, charcuterie, pasta, as well as nuts and candy.
An Evolutions container must be opened by bending a tab at the corner of the lid upward. Once the tab is in the open position it remains upright, alerting customers that the container’s seal has been compromised.
For food processors, the company offers two design options that include a recessed, or inside fit lid which allows for secure container stacking as well as a film sealed container with an over cap lid allowing extra room for product per container. The tamper-evident lid fits all five, square deli container sizes ranging from 8 to 32 oz allowing retailers to reduce inventory while maximizing shelf space.
