Reser's® Fine Foods is tapping into the potato lover's passion for the spud with the "America's Best Potato Salad Challenge." The contest gives Kansas City Barbeque Society cooks and amateur home cooks across the nation the opportunity to prove that their spuds, according to a press release. In the two-tiered competition, competitors will have the chance at winning a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the championship event held at the World Food Championships. The winner will take home $10,000.
This year, the Kansas City Barbeque Society will host six events as part of the Competitor Series of the "America's Best Potato Salad Challenge." In addition, nine events will be hosted online under the Consumer Series, inviting cooks of all backgrounds to their own recipes.
"People are passionate about potatoes!" states Lacey Werner, Associate Category Manager. "Last year, Kansas City Barbeque Society cooks whipped up some amazing potato salad recipes. We can't wait to see some new and exciting culinary innovations this year."
The winner of Reser's "America's Best Potato Salad Challenge" will be chosen from among the top finishers at six KCBS events and the top nine entries in the online recipe competition. The 15 finalists will compete in Las Vegas for a chance to claim the winning title at the championship event held at the World Food Championships.
