CENTRAL POINT, OR
Rogue Creamery is announcing three new beer cheddars, two of which are made with craft beers from Caldera Brewing Company, and the third uses a special brew from Rogue Ales, according to a press release. Of course, these beer cheddars pair excellently with the beers used to make them. The cheeses are offered by Rogue Creamery as part of a special gift collection.
Anniversary Ale Cheese is a one-of-a-kind cheddar made with Rogue Ales' walnut brown ale. It has floral overtones and chocolate notes. Rogue Ales (a separate company from Rogue Creamery) crafted this brew specially for Rogue Creamery. The Anniversary Ale was made in celebration of Rogue Ales' 80th anniversary.
Mogli Porter Cheese is made with Caldera's oak-aged imperial porter. It has flavors of chocolate and bourbon.
Old Growth Imperial Stout Cheese is made with Caldera's winter release stout, which was brewed with licorice.
Because the inventory is extremely limited for these unusual cheeses, especially for Old Growth Cheddar, if the Old Growth runs out, it can be substituted with Jabberwocky Cheddar, which uses beer from Walkabout Brewing Company of Central Point, Oregon.
