PLYMOUTH, WI 

Sartori has launched its Limited Edition Peppermint BellaVitano cheese in support of breast cancer awareness month.

“Peppermint BellaVitano is a fun, intriguing one-of-a-kind cheese,” said Mike Matucheski, Sartori Master Cheesemaker. “The pink rind is created by hand rubbing crushed peppermint candy onto our aged BellaVitano cheese wheels. The sweet, minty note from the peppermint surprisingly compliments the rich, fruitiness flavor of the cheese.”

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.®. To date, Sartori has donated over $20,000 to the foundation, according to a press release.

“The National Breast Cancer Foundation is one of the most respected breast cancer charities in the world,” said Sue Merckx, Sartori Marketing Director. “They realize that with rising costs in healthcare, many cannot afford a screening exam and so they offer to help by providing free mammograms. It is wonderful to help an organization like this that goes the extra mile.”

Sartori’s Limited Edition Peppermint BellaVitano cheese will be available for purchase at specialty retailers nationwide this month, and will also be sold via the Sartori Cheese Shop.
