Schnucks Markets Inc. is teaming up with St. Louis-based artisan charcuterie Salume Beddu to offer a line of products and condiments at Schnucks Des Peres.
Schnucks Cheese Expert Charlie Scotini states, “This unique partnership between the two family-owned companies means Des Peres Schnucks customers can now enjoy the product of one of the nation’s top quality salumerias, a perfect complement to the store’s cheese room. Our customers are now able to choose from a long list of quality salamis including Soppressata Siciliano, Cacciatore and Chorizo expertly sliced by Schnucks teammates and pre-packaged six-ounce salamis like Finocchiona, Veneto, and Calabrese.”
Salume Beddu Founder Mark Sanfilippo continues, “Our meats feature only Certified Heritage Berkshire pork which is pasture raised in the Midwest with no additional hormones or antibiotics. Each salume is expertly spiced, hand tied and perfectly cured to produce traditional style salume with a new-world twist.” Mr. Scotino says that Schnucks is expanding the offering of six-ounce packaged Salume Beddu salamis to a number of other stores throughout the company, in addition to its Des Peres location.
