Get ready cheese lovers because the Snowdonia Cheese Company is bringing their gourmet line of Welsh cheeses to North America. Now available in stores across the United States, this launch was made possible through an exclusive partnership with the Atalanta Corporation, one of the largest cheese importers in the country.
“This is an exciting and important development for our company, and will mean that Snowdonia cheese will soon be available throughout the United States and Canada,” said Snowdonia’s Commercial Director Richard Newton-Jones.
Snowdonia first unveiled its line of colorful waxed cheeses to American audiences at the 2014 Summer Fancy Food Show with displays at the Atalanata booth as well as at the Welsh Government's Food and Drink Wales Pavilion.
According to a press release, many gourmet restauranteurs and travel industry caterers rave about the quality of Snowdonia cheeses, calling them their “product of choice.” Some of the world's leading airliners and sporting and cultural events, also use Snowdonia Cheese when making dishes for their guests.
Most recently the Snowdonia line won 1st place in the British Cheese Awards and at the Wales True Taste Awards.
