Stater Bros. Welcomes John Ciraulo as Vice President of Meat Division

SAN BERNARDINO, CA

Stater Bros. Markets is announcing the promotion of John Ciraulo as the new Vice President of its Meat Division. According to a press release, Ciraulo is replacing Kevin Schubert, who will be retiring in March after 39 years of service.

In his new position, Ciraulo will oversee all of the marketing and retail operations of the company's Meat and Seafood Divisions. He will report directly to Dennis McIntyre, Executive Vice President of Marketing.

"John is a well-respected and valuable member of our management team," stated Jack H. Brown, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stater Bros. Markets. "This promotion is a result of his leadership skills and the contributions that he has made towards the success of the company's Meat Division."

John Ciraulo has been with Stater Bros. for more than 28 years. He has progressed through a range of marketing and retail positions. He first joined Stater Bros. in 1986 as a Meat Clerk at the company's South Fontana location. Over the years he climbed the ranks, eventually being promoted to Director Marketing of the Meat Division in 2010, his most recent position.

John earned a vocational teaching credential from California State University, San Bernardino in 2001 and is an instructor for the Stater Bros. Meat Cutting Apprentice Program. He is a 2006 graduate of both the WAFC Retail Management Program at San Bernardino Valley College and University of Southern California (USC) Food Industry Management Program. John has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix and a Master of Arts Degree in Business Management from University of Redlands. Most recently, John completed the credential program for Certified Food Safety Professionals from National Environmental Health Association.

Congratulations to John Ciraulo on his new position with Stater Bros. Markets.
