VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -Farm Fresh’s former President Bill Parker has left the company after about 11 months.
"I can confirm that we are opening a new search immediately," said Jeff Swanson, a spokesman for Farm Fresh. "I can say this is an opportunity to go in a new direction."
Parker served as interim president since September 2012, following the two-year presidency of Gaelo de la Fuente. He replaced Ron Dennis, who retired in 2010, according to the Daily Press.
Chad Ferguson has been named interim president for the grocery store chain, Swanson said. He joined the company earlier this summer after working at Kroger.
Farm Fresh is owned by Minnesota-based SUPERVALU.
