sweetFrog Names Matt Smith New Chief Marketing Officer for the Company


RICHMOND, VA

sweetFrog has named Matt Smith the new Chief Marketing Officer for the leading frozen yogurt retailer. A 20 year marketing and brand development veteran, Smith will lead the planning, development, implementation and measurement of all sweetFrog marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities going forward.

“Matt brings extensive relevant marketing experience to the company,” explained Vance Spilman, President of sweetFrog Enterprises. “He will draw on this experience to create our strategic branding plan that will take sweetFrog to the next level.”

Matt shared that he was excited to begin his new role with the company, and was ready to take on the challenges of continuing to grow the brand name and message of sweetFrog.

According to a press release, Matt has extensive experience in marketing, having joined sweetFrog from Execute, a marketing consulting firm he founded in 2012. He has also held roles as Director of Marketing and Change Strategy with Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance, Marketing Manager for Tuff Stuff Publications, and Direct Marketing positions at Direct Mail Solutions and Mailing Services, Inc.

Matt earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from University of Richmond. In addition to his duties with sweetFrog, he serves on the Boards of the March of Dimes and Salvation Army and provides play-by-play and color commentary for the IMG Spider Sports Network during college football and basketball broadcasts.
