TILLAMOOK, OR
Tillamook County Creamery Association is entering the super-premium novelty category with new Tillabars, according to a press release. The 105-year-old farmer-owned cooperative delivers four flavor combinations of ice creams dipped in a variety of fine white, dark, or milk chocolates.
“We’ve been making ice cream since 1947, and with its increasing popularity wanted to provide Tillamook fans our ice cream in a new and fun way” says Joe Prewett, Tillamook Director of Product Management and Innovation. “Highest quality ingredients, convenience, and super premium indulgence were the base requirements we set out to achieve.”
The premium desserts are made without artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners; and they contain no high fructose corn syrup. These bars also contain only the highest quality milk from cows not treated with artificial hormones.
The new flavors are Lemonilla, Mooocha Latte, Old-Fashioned Vanilla, and Salted Caramel Swirl. I got an exclusive taste of the Lemonilla-flavored bar at the 2014 Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco earlier this week. The amazing white chocolate coating perfectly complimented the Lemonilla flavor.
I very much enjoyed the bar I tried, and I'm glad to report that they are available in stores and are ready for national distribution with a suggested retail price of $4.99 per box.
