Amigos is hosting its fourth semi-annual health fair this summer as part of its commitment to “helping guests shop smarter and eat healthier,” according to a release.
“At this year’s health fair, we are providing guests with personal health information and tips on how to improve basic health,” said Robin Hawkins, MS, RD, LD, director of health and wellness for United Supermarkets, LLC.
The event will be held at Amigos locations in Amarillo and Plainview from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Activities are open to the public and free of charge.
Dieticians will host a table to calculate body mass index (BMI), assess body fat percentage and provide education on healthy weights. Also, Pharmacy technicians will be on hand to provide guests blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol checks.
