Inventure Foods has announced it's expanding on its popular TGI Fridays™ licensed snack line with the introduction of new, Sweet Potato Skins.
"TGI Fridays Potato Skins appetizers have been a customer favorite in restaurants since 1974, and our ready-to-eat Potato Skins Snacks have grown to be just as beloved," said Steve Sklar, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Inventure Foods. "With the recent popularity of sweet potatoes, we felt the time was right to introduce a unique spin on the Potato Skins Snacks that would resonate with our consumers."
Available in convenience and grocery stores nationwide this month, these bags come in 2.75 ounce and 5 ounce bags, respectively. Consumers can also find a convenient 1.35 ounce single-serve bag in vending machines across the country. The suggested retail price ranges from $1.00 to $2.69 per package.
Getting a dose of nutrients with your snacks, each serving of Sweet Potato Skins is made with real sweet potatoes and provides 50 percent of the daily recommended value of vitamin A. Each bag comes seasoned with a mild blend of cane sugar, molasses, and salt to accent the natural sweetness of the potatoes.
According to a press release, Sweet Potato Skins join the existing Fridays line of Potato Skins Snacks that includes Cheddar & Bacon, Cheddar & Sour Cream, Jalapeno & Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, Chili Cheese and Bacon Ranch varieties. In addition to Potato Skins Snacks, the ready-to-eat snack line includes Crunchy Fries, Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers and Happy Hour Snack Mixes.
