4,000 industry professionals flooded Nashville last week for the 2019 KeHE Summer Show. Held at Nashville’s Music City Center, the show witnessed 750 exhibitors from all around the world showcase products across all categories, featuring what many are guessing will be some of the summer’s hottest upcoming trends.

Brandon Barnholt, President & CEO, KeHE“Each year, this show continues to gain momentum,” said Brandon Barnholt, KeHE’s President and CEO. “KeHE’s Summer Show is what our customers count on to stock their shelves with the hottest deals from new and established brands and to learn the compelling stories behind the brand. It also allows our suppliers to develop meaningful connections with our retail partners from around the country.”

The two-day show kicked off with education sessions. During the sessions, industry leaders shared ways to capitalize on a few top trends, including health, wellness, and global flavors. The show also gave attendees the chance to get their philanthropy on. Each attendee received a five dollar wooden KeHE Cares™ token representing one of four charitable partner organizations around the world—including Bhakti, Nuttzo, The Soulfull Project, This Bar Saves Lives, and World Centric—to drop into a collection cylinder on the show floor and raise donations for KeHE Cares. In addition to the tokens, according to a press release, the KeHE community donated over 45,000 pounds of food products to the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Ari Goldsmith, Executive Director of Marketing, KeHE“CAREtrade® bridges the gap between the business of KeHE and the heart of KeHE Cares; it’s the next evolution in serving,” said Ari Goldsmith, KeHE’s Executive Director of Marketing. “Each CAREtrade® partner has a unique business approach that combines commercial success with making the world a better place. Because the commerce that happens at our shows directly impacts our contribution to KeHE Cares™ foundation, it’s extremely important to us that our attendees learn more about their philanthropic activities because they support them by doing business with KeHE.”

Show attendees were also able to explore innovative items featured at the New Product Showcase. Over 260 companies showcased products, including the likes of Certified B Corp suppliers and KeHE’s CAREtrade™ partners, which then competed for retailers’ votes in ten top categories. The winners of each category included the following:

Katie Paul, Vice President, Category Management & Growth Solutions, KeHE“Our partners have come to know KeHE as a leader in trends and insights,” said Katie Paul, KeHE’s Vice President of Category Management & Growth Solutions. “By educating our show attendees with tangible ways to implement hot trends, they leave with a retail strategy to succeed.”
