Kraft Heinz Introduces Holiday Stuffle

While many providers of Thanksgiving staples are focusing on what will be on the dinner table for millions of consumers on Thursday, the Kraft-Heinz Company is looking to the days following and what they will do with all those leftovers.

"For over 40 years, Stove Top Stuffing has been an integral part of many Thanksgiving traditions," Colin Litow, Associate Brand Manager on Stove Top, stated, according to a press release. "And now, we've created a whole new way to enjoy your stuffing and gravy leftovers!"

Kraft-Heinz Chefs' "Stuffle"

Enter Stuffle - a creation from chefs at Kraft Heinz that adds a twist to the turkey, stuffing, gravy, and even cranberry sauce that creates an alternative to the endless supply of traditional turkey sandwiches.

This is a unique addition to traditional leftover sandwiches. Consumers can use a waffle iron to golden brown the stuffing slices and hold all the ingredients together, using them before they expire.

According to Kraft Heinz, consumers purchased more than 25 million jars of Heinz HomeStyle Gravy, over 17 million of which were purchased during Thanksgiving week alone, during November 2014. On average, about 40 million boxes of Stove Top Stuffing Mix are usually sold from October through December as well.

Here's how you can make your own Stuffle...

Prep Time: 30 min. | Makes: 6 servings

What You Need:

1   pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Turkey
2eggs, beaten
3/4cup HEINZ HomeStyle Roasted Turkey Gravy
3/4lb. leftover roasted turkey, sliced
1/3cup cranberry sauce
1Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Make It:

Prepare stuffing as directed on package. Cool 10 min. Meanwhile, spray electric waffle iron with cooking spray. Heat iron to medium heat.

Add eggs to stuffing; mix well. Spoon about 1/2 cup stuffing mixture onto center of each waffle grid section. Close lid slowly, pressing gently to evenly distribute stuffing mixture. Cook 4 to 5 min. or until "waffle" is firm and golden brown. When done, lift waffle off grid with fork. Repeat with remaining stuffing mixture to make additional waffles.

Meanwhile, warm gravy as directed on label. While gravy is warming, reheat turkey in microwaveable container on HIGH 1 to 2 min. or until heated through.

Spread waffles with cranberry sauce; top with turkey, gravy and parsley.


This is a great way to use leftover prepared stuffing. To reheat refrigerated leftover stuffing before use, spoon 3 cups prepared stuffing into microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 min. or just until warmed. Add 2 beaten eggs, then use as directed.
