National Beef is teaming up with CHEP, a pallet pooling and supply chain management solutions company, to increase and improve operations at its Kansas processing locations in Dodge City and Liberal.
“Our work has always eliminated waste throughout the supply chain,” said Laura Nador, President for CHEP North America. “Customers value our share and reuse model combined with the scale and density of our network that allows us to be faster and more responsive to their specific needs. We’re excited about our collaboration with National Beef and look forward to putting our expertise in the food and beverage industry to work for them.”
The new partnership will help address ongoing issues of rising transportation and lumber costs thanks to CHEP’s and National Beef’s overlapping transport routes.
Nador noted in a press release that one of CHEP’s customers eliminated over 850,000 empty miles and generated over $1.6 million in revenue by switching to CHEP.
“Customers in all industries are dealing with rising transportation costs and limited capacity,” said Nador. “At CHEP, we work with them to create value and support a circular economy.”
CHEP’s Supply Chain Solutions leverage the company’s end-to-end supply chain expertise to help customers improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase sales, according to a press release. CHEP’s solutions include Transportation Optimization, Unit Load Optimization, Product Damage Reduction, Packaging Performance Testing, Value Stream Mapping, and Environmental Sustainability.
