"We analyzed the major concerns of consumers regarding the consumption of Cold Cuts products and the presence of artificial nitrates and nitrites and the level of Sodium per portion were the two concerns that rose to the top," Simone Bocchini, President of Fratelli Beretta told me. "We focused on these two aspects and came up with a line that is both free of added nitrates and nitrites (expect those naturally occurring in Sea Salt and Swiss Chard), and contains 45 percent less sodium than regular salami—without compromising flavor, intensity, and tradition."
With a pleasantly picturesque logo featuring the brand’s geographical namesake, Mount Olive all-natural products are available in a variety of pack sizes, including 4 oz, pre-sliced packages of prosciutto, Milano salami, sopressata, finocchiona, coppa, a 6 oz and 12 oz antipasto packs, and 8 oz whole sopressata, Milano salami, and finocchiona sausages.
