Frick’s Quality Meats Breaks Ground on Facility Expansion


WASHINGTON, MO
Thursday, December 28th, 2017

Breaking ground on an additional 28,320-square-foot expansion on its already 120,000-square-foot facility, Frick’s Quality Meats Inc. is kicking off the new year with new strategies.

“We look forward to the opportunities the expansion brings including meeting the growing demand of our customers and the launch of Frick’s Natural and Organic products,” said company President Dave Frick.

Based in Washington, Missouri, the expansion will be an $11.5 million dollar investment and create 40 new jobs, according to a press release.

The family-owned company is coming off a year of new labels and launches, as well as squaring itself up for future success. 2017 saw a redesign for the company’s label and website, while it also prepared for an organic debut. Though launch date is yet to be announced, Frick’s stated that the facility has been USDA organic certified since 2016.

This new addition will include increased cooler space and a doubled ready-to-eat packaging area. The expansion is set to be completed in August of this year.

Frick’s Quality Meats makes artisan smoked meats and sausages with distribution to grocery retailers in 44 U.S. states. Insisting that food safety is still the highest priority despite the excitement of a rebrand and expansion, Frick’s existing facility is GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) compliant and holds a grade “AA” certification.
