Hormel has selected Multivac to receive the 2015 Spirit of Excellence Award in recognition of its role in improving the company’s processes. The selection was determined in collaboration by Hormel’s management team across all its facilities.
“The Hormel Foods Spirit of Excellence Award program recognizes the suppliers that truly go above and beyond in helping us continually improve our products and services,” explained Tyler L. Hulsebus, Director of Purchasing at Hormel Foods. “We’re honored to partner with these outstanding suppliers.”
According to a press release, suppliers receiving the Spirit of Excellence Award are scored on criteria such as product performance, on-time deliveries, and providing high-level customer support. The company has chosen Multivac for this honor 12 times in 13 years, this year being the 11th consecutively.
“Receiving this award is a tremendous honor forMultivac," added Jim Campbell, CEO of the company. "It recognizes the partnership between our two companies and the desire we both have to keep ‘raising the bar’ in terms of packaging machinery and great customer support provided by our Associates day in day out in Technical Service, Spare parts, Logistics, Training, and every other aspect of our customer service program."
Campbell went on to explain how thankful he and Multivac were for both Hormel's business and their recognition.
In just the past two years, the company has opened regional sales offices in California and New Jersey, with another scheduled to open in North Carolina in the summer of 2016. Renovating its U.S. headquarters offices in Kansas City, the company is adding 32,000 square-feet, including a state-of-the-art demonstration area and training facility, to allow it to further expand upon manufacturing capabilities.
