Les Trois Petits Cochons, makers of authentic artisanal pâté and charcuterie, have extended three of the company’s product lines this month, launching new items in the brand’s game line, its seafood line, and its growing foie gras line.
Launched at this year’s Winter Fancy Food Show, Les Trois Petits Cochons new products include a Pheasant Pâté, a Terrine de Saumon et Kale, and a Terrine des Trois Rois.
Pheasant Pâté
The Pheasant Pâté is a marriage of pheasant, pork, and chicken liver pâté with dried cognac-soaked blueberries and almonds topped with aspic. The new product is preservative and coloring free, and is best enjoyed with a full-bodied red wine, robust and fruity with a minimal influence of oak or a full-bodied dry red wine with rustic and earthy tones, according to the company. Available in 8oz packages at specialty food markets nationwide, consumers can find this pate along with new branded gift baskets with an assortment of Les Trois Petits Cochons’ most popular products.
Terrine de Saumon et Kale
A terrine of wild-caught salmon and fresh kale, the new Terrine de Saumon et Kale is the newest part of the brand’s seafood line. Including no preservatives or colorings, the terrine is best enjoyed with dry, sparkling white wine with a subtle creamy and nutty flavor or light-bodied red wine with earthy notes. Les Trois Petits Cochons offers 5.5oz packages at specialty food markets nationwide.
Terrine des Trois Rois
The Terrine des Trois Rois is a gluten-free three layered terrine handcrafted from armagnac marinated prunes and layered with chicken & duck foie gras, the company says, and is part of the brand’s growing foie gras line. The company recommends enjoying by a light red wine with earthy aromas balanced by a fruit-forward bouquet or a dry, sparkling white wine with a subtle creamy flavor. The terrine will be available in 7oz packages at specialty food markets nationwide beginning spring 2016.
