Having already created a successful cured meat business at retail, where has Olli Salumeria set its latest horizons? The salumi you know and love from the store will soon be hitting the deli department. Jennifer Johnson, Director of Marketing at Olli, joined me at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City to tell me about the company’s new deli-sized product line.
“We’ve taken our traditional artisanal salumi and we’ve made it in a large format so that people can go and get exactly what they want sliced for them for sandwiches or party trays,” Jennifer told me from the Olli Salumeria booth. “You’re still gonna get that high quality, it's still going to be pork that is humanely treated.”
Each also comes with the same consumer craveable characteristics as the retail line, including:
“We still take the time necessary to cure it properly, and you still get all of the flavor that you would out of our normal sticks,” Jennifer assures, noting the quality of Olli's processes.
