As spring rolls into towns across the nation, the yearning for something fresh to eat that is easy to grab on-the-go becomes all too real. Olli Salumeria's Marketing Manager Gil Perales discusses the company’s new releases this season and how it is dressing these bites for merchandising success.

We are currently updated our packaging to include a mixture of print options—for example tactile, matte, and glossy. We’re looking to finalize these in the next few months, as well,” Gill tells me.

While the designs ensure peak freshness with re-sealable compartments, the company’s tactful packaging makes merchandising an art, appealing to something aesthetically beautiful.

“Tasting starts with the eyes, which creates this desire to gravitate toward something. We try to do this with our packaging,” Gil divulges, before expanding on how this relates to merchandising opportunities.

To garner a larger following for these impeccably designed products, the company is zeroing in on their online representation, using strategically employed social media plans to further customer engagement.

“We’re currently in the process of refreshing our website. We’re enhancing our online presentation, as well—going through a big push right before the new Snack Packs that are coming out soon, and social media is one of the areas we really want to focus on in the next year to increase the social activity with our products,” he explains.

As customers get whisked away with spring’s warmer breezes, they are enticed by Olli’s new products that thoughtfully interpret their wants and needs—these items address them with a strong online representation and offer them the tastes they are looking to enjoy.
