Truckload of Chicken Nuggets Spills at Tennessee Intersection

NEWPORT, TN
Friday, August 31st, 2018

What happens when a truck and a train collide? Forget sparks—chicken nuggets go flying. While this is, unfortunately for consumers, not always the case, Newport, Tennessee, saw this scenario in action when a truckload of boxes with frozen chicken nuggets spilled onto an intersection after an accident with a train and a tractor-trailer.

Linda Witson, a Newport resident, shared with WVLT-TV that there seemed to be “chicken nuggets for blocks.”

No injuries were reported, according to the Associated Press, but the intersection was closed for several hours to clean up the chicken nuggets.

For more industry happenings, Deli Market News will continue to spill the beans.
