Wagshal’s Introduces Prime Smoked Beef Brisket for Retail

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Wagshal’s famous smoked beef brisket is coming soon to a retailer near you.

The company has announced plans to launch its smoked beef brisket in a new retail package at the upcoming Winter Fancy Food Show on January 17-19, 2016.

The item comes in a sleek package designed to catch consumer attention, all while offering great shelf life for retailers.

Made with aged USDA prime beef briskets with generous fat caps on them to optimize the aging, wet curing, and smoking process, Wagshal’s has taken great care to ensure the product retains its delicious, smoky taste in each bite. Each brisket is slow smoked for over fourteen hours to enhance its flavor profile.

“The colors, design, and look of the package should stand out from the competition on the shelves, while still drawing you in from the first time you set your eyes on the front of the package,” said Wagshal’s Aaron Fuchs, Principal, Imports. “And after turning it over to the back, you see the simple instructions that allow for you to recreate our famous brisket sandwich in your home, no matter where you live in the USA. It will taste the same every single time!”

Wagshal’s will soon offer its smoked beef brisket in a 15 x 4 oz. package for retail. Other sizes available include a 20 x 4 oz. case, a 15 x 6 oz. case, and 2 whole briskets (~25 lbs. per case).

In addition to this new retail product, be on the lookout for the Just for Cheese line from Catalonian company, Can Bech, at the Winter Fancy Food Show.

The line offers a fruit sauce that pairs with the five basic categories of cheese.

Fuchs tells me, “We are seeing more and more retail and foodservice operations go with Just for Cheese; not only because there is nothing else like it, but also the fact that it is all natural and can complement without overpowering any cheese that you pair with it.”

And there you have it. Don’t miss these latest offerings and more from Wagshal’s next month at Booth #3812 during the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, California.
