Looking to appeal to a growing number health-conscious consumers, Western’s Smokehouse, LLC announced a new line of “Healthier for You” meat snack sticks.

Kevin Western, COO, Western's Smokehouse“Snacking has become more popular as an alternative to the traditional three meals a day, with a particular focus on protein,” says Kevin Western, Chief Operating Officer at Western’s Smokehouse, in a press release. “Today many consumers in the U.S. are looking to live healthier life styles. But with less predictable eating times, consumers are forced to fuel up when they can.”

The new line of snack sticks comes in a variety of flavors, including:

  • Original Grass Fed Beef
  • Sriracha Turkey
  • Buffalo Wing Chicken
  • BBQ Pineapple Pork

The snack sticks are made with high quality tender cuts of meat, seasoned with herbs and spices, and hickory smoked. The new line is intended to appeal to selective consumers who might scrutinize product labels for unpronounceable ingredients, artificial flavors and colors, GMOs, and high levels of sweeteners and sodium.

Clean, simple ingredient lists are becoming increasingly important, as more consumers turn away from products that use artificial colors, preservatives, and additives,” noted Western. “We are excited to introduce our new Healthier for You line of snack sticks to the market, and we believe they provide a great tasting snack option for the on-the-go consumer looking for healthier snacking alternatives.”
