The IDDBA nominees for the 2015 Board of Directors have been chosen, and the polls are open for association members.
With no debates or campaigns, we’ve collected a bit about the nominees professional backgrounds to help you know more about your potential 2015/2016 IDDBA Board of Directors.
Jim Antrup, Vice President of Sales for Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club at Dawn Food Products
Antrup has extensive food industry knowledge, with about 30 years of experience. He has cross cultural work experience, having worked as the Commercial Director for the UK and Ireland for Dan Foods LTD Europe, as well as working at the retail store level, purchasing and procurement, sales and sales leadership, and business leadership.
John Cheesman, Vice President of Business Development at Clyde's Donuts
Cheesman has been in the industry for more than two decades. He just recently joined Clyde’s Delicious Donuts as its Vice President of Business Development after just over 20 years at Maplehurst Bakeries, LLC. He served as Vice President company for the last 15 years he was there.
Cheesman is no stranger to IDDBA dealings, with ten years of experience on its Board of Directors, the past three as a member of the Executive Committee. He is currently serving as Vice Chairman.
William G. Klump, Chief Marketing Officer at Butterball, LLC
Having joined Butterball in 2002 while working for ConAgra Foods, Klump was promoted from Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing to Chief Marketing Officer in May of last year. With more than 30 years of experience in consumer packaged goods, he is responsible for overall brand strategy, consumer communication and public relations. He also drives brand advertising, consumer promotion, product innovation and consumer insights for consumer packaged goods, deli and seasonal products.
Klump, too, brings IDDBA executive experience, currently serving as Chairman of the Board.
Eric A. LeBlanc, Vice President of Marketing at Tyson Foods, Inc.
LeBlanc is currently responsible for new product development, consumer/shopping insight, customer development, promotion, and brand communication for Tyson Foods, Inc. He has been in his position as Vice President of Marketing for the company for the past 13 years, he has worked closely with research vendors in identifying, designing, and fielding consumer research projects.
Voni A. Woods, Vice President of Deli Bakery at Giant Eagle, Inc.
Woods has worked with Giant Eagle, Inc. for just over 13 years, gaining several awards and honors in that time, including:
She has served as the Chairman Emeritus for IDDBA for the 2014 year.
Mark Rudy, Creative Sales and Marketing Executive at Hubert Company
Rudy has served as a Vice President of Sales for the Hubert Company for nearly nine years, having been promoted from his position as the Director of Sales back in 2007.
Rudy has previously acted as a member of the IDDBA Board from 2007 to 2014, serving as President from 2011 to 2012.
“I am a passionate leader that creates value by sharing my time, talents, and energy helping others to achieve their dreams,” he stated on his professional profile, adding that this is both with peers as a member of Hubert’s executive team as well as partnering with industry leaders as a board member of IDDBA to continue promoting education and the growth of our industry.
Edward R. Meyer, Vice President Meat/Seafood at Schnucks Markets, Inc.
Meyer brings a wealth of retail and industry experience, having worked at Schnucks Markets for nearly 18 years. He graduated from Maryville University, Saint Louis, with a Bachelor of Science in Management, continuing on to earn a Master of Business Administration and Marketing from Lindenwood University.
Jerry A. Suter, Vice President of Fresh Merchandising at Meijer
Suter has worked as the Vice President of Fresh Merchandising for Meijer for the past five years. Prior to that position he served as a Director for Sam's Club for 12 years, from 1998 to 2010.
Dotty VanderMolen, Account Executive at Advantage Waypoint
VanderMolen brings a breadth of industry experience, including serving as the Director of the Deli Bakery Western Michigan for Mascari for more than 16 years, as well as its Regional Deli Bakery Director.
She is currently the Account Executive for Advantage Waypoint, and has been for nearly four years.
