Hissho Sushi Named Amongst Fast 100 Asian American Business Winners for Second Year

CHARLOTTE, NC
Tuesday, April 18th, 2017

Hissho Sushi has been enjoying rapid growth, receiving numerous titles and acknowledgements as it has come up leaps and bounds from the humble beginnings of CEO Philip Maung–who came to the United States from Myanmar in 1989 with only $13 in his pocket.

The latest in its string of accolades is to be named as one of the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce’s Fast 100 Asian American Business winners. The honor comes to Hissho for the second year in a row, in which the USPAACC calls it “one of its Fast 100 Asian American companies that have displayed resilience and excellent performance.”

Susan Au Allen, National President and CEO, USPAACC“The total 100 companies that will be recognized on Wednesday, May 31 in San Diego, CA have generated annual revenue of $10 billion, despite global economic challenges,” wrote Susan Au Allen, National President and CEO of USPAACC.

Hissho commented in a press release that the news came on its 19th anniversary, a welcome birthday gift!

Hissho has been recognized for rapid growth by Inc. 5000 and by Charlotte’s SmartCEO, as well as having won a number of awards for entrepreneurial success.

Deli Market News will continue to report on this and other key companies to watch within the industry.
