Epicurean Butter is looking to take butter from what was once just a product to cook with, to what it’s calling "an imaginative condiment." Combining the food trends of using chef-inspired flavors and using real, natural ingredients, Epicurean Butter’s line of Finishing Butters include thirteen different varieties that span from sweet to spicy to savory.
Founded in 2004 by a classically trained Chef, John Hubschman and his wife, Janey, Epicurean touts itself as one of the first to bring flavored compound butters to market. During his tenure in the foodservice industry, John learned that finishing and compound butters are what often take a normal at-home meal up to restaurant quality. Available in 3.5 oz. tubs and some in the newly introduced 1 oz. single-serve packets, these butters are all rBST-free, and currently available in the following flavors:
Most recently, Epicurean’s Organic Cocoa Coconut Butter took home the gold at the Specialty Food Association’s Sofi Awards. With all organic and non-GMO ingredients like rBST-free butter, coconut oil, honey, cocoa powder, canola oil, and Himalayan sea salt, this was a clear frontrunner in the battle for best dairy or dairy alternative product.
All flavors are available for a suggested retail price of $3.99 to $7.99.
