Ensuring a strong leadership requires strong leaders, and Ahold Delhaize is polishing its roster with this vision in mind. Recently, the retailer’s Supervisory Board proposed the reappointment of Peter Agnefjäll as a member and Chair of the board.
“I am honored and humbled by the trust placed in me by my Supervisory Board colleagues,” stated Agnefjäll. “I have been impressed with the dedication and service to the communities our brands have displayed in the past few years, and it would be my pleasure to continue to support the leadership of the company going forward.”
Agnefjäll has been a member of the Supervisory Board since April 2019, and he was appointed as Chair on January 1, 2021. Additionally, he is a member of the Governance and Nomination Committee as well as the Remuneration Committee. With his reappointment, Agnefjäll will serve on the Board for another four-year term, subject to shareholder approval.
According to the release, the proposed reappointment will take place at Ahold Delhaize’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 12, 2023.
“Peter has been an inspiring leader for our Supervisory Board since 2021, and he has built a strong and diverse Board team,” said Helen Weir, Chair of the Governance and Nomination Committee. “We look forward to his continued leadership as the company delivers on the next phase of its Leading Together strategy.”
