Albertsons is taking a boots-to-the-ground approach to its expansion strategy, highlighting its commitment to the regions it serves. Both Albertsons and Safeway are adding more personnel—a whopping 2,000 at that—to address the needs of shoppers in Washington state.
With growth elevating the goals of Albertsons and Safeway, the retailers are looking to fill 2,000 immediate job openings at its western Washington grocery stores, according to Q13 Fox Local, which added that the company said it was hiring for the jobs to “best serve the increasing needs of our communities throughout Puget Sound.”
This investment in personnel for in-store positions will impact the produce, deli, meat, bakery, fuel stations, customer service, and cashier and courtesy clerk arenas. In addition, Safeway and Albertsons are also hiring for full and part-time delivery drivers, according to Q13 Fox.
Safeway and Albertsons' Seattle Division now operates 222 stores in Washington, North Idaho, and Alaska.
