While the pandemic has been a challenging time for all, one positive thing to come from stay-at-home mandates is the rise of the charcuterie board, going from an easy entertaining option to an art form. With the holidays quickly approaching, there is no better time for consumers to flex their charcuterie skills for family and friends, and Aldi is helping them do it with its first-ever “Charcuterie Board of Directors.” This panel of charcuterie experts has come together to form the deli’s version of The Avengers and have taken on a quest to build the most innovative and festive board this season.
"Whether someone is looking for tried-and-true pairings for their first board or is a confident foodie who wants to experiment with new combinations, our aim is to inspire board builders of all experience levels with impressive, approachable, affordable ideas," said Kim Brazington, the Cheese Queen on the Charcuterie Board of Directors and Aldi’s Buying Director for cheese. "The Aldi team has curated charcuterie must-haves that are easy to spot in stores this season. With a few tips; a little inspiration; and a wide selection of cheese, meats, and other grazing essentials throughout our aisles, ALDI has what shoppers need to build boards they'll be proud to serve."
The Board is comprised of seven pros from across the food and wine sectors, and their unique expertise will aid shoppers in creating the most inventive charcuterie boards possible.

Aldi’s launch of its new Board of Directors comes at a pivotal time as not only the holidays approach, but charcuterie boards are at an all-time high. According to a press release, the culinary trend has seen a 300 percent rise in online searches in the past year alone.
Helping consumers craft their charcuterie boards, the Board of Directors will highlight the wonderful offerings at Aldi along with providing board-styling guidance through stop-motion videos, virtual demonstrations, and a plethora of build-by-number templates.
Making the process easier, all #ALLALDI charcuterie board ingredients can be found in-store and ordered for curbside pickup at shoppers’ local Aldi locations. The retailer has also assembled a “Charcuterie Board Must-Have” list to serve as a shopping guide for consumers.
