Amazon is continuing to expand the reach of its brick-and-mortar format. In the latter half of July, Amazon expanded its Amazon Fresh format in New York and Illinois. Now, the retailer is expanding its footprint once more, this time on both the coasts in New Jersey and California markets.
The new store in New Jersey will be located in Paramus, Amazon’s first in the state, contributing to Amazon’s growing presence in the industry. Amazon’s California-based store has opened in Encino. Each of the locations features Just Walk Out technology, making the shopping experience even more convenient.
These new store openings create hundreds of jobs for their local communities as well. According to a press announcement from the retailer, Amazon’s New Jersey store stands at 40,000 square feet, while the California store boasts 44,000 square feet.
Shoppers will enjoy a high-quality selection of produce and prepared foods located in the stores.
Deli Market News will keep an eye on the retail trail.
