A new British Vintage Cheddar is hitting the market, and you won’t want to miss it. Belton Farm, an exclusive Atalanta Corporation partner, has announced the launch of its new Silver Fox cheese. Handcrafted at Belton Farm in Shropshire, England, the strong and striking cheese delivers a delicious complexity of flavors. It recently received a gold medal in its first competition at the British Cheese Awards, Somerset.
“This is a new modern British Vintage Cheddar cheese, which we are all excited about,” said Justin Beckett, Managing Director. “By innovating, we are bringing something new to the Cheddar cheese category and have had a fantastic response from customers. This strong and striking cheese delivers complex flavors with an added crunch. One hallmark of high quality handcrafted cheese is the presence of cheese crystals, which are crystallized clusters that form within the cheese as it ages.”
Silver Fox will join a distinguished lineup of Belton Farm cheeses, including Red Fox, an aged Red Leicester; White Fox White Leicester; and Smoked Red Fox. This spring, the company announced the rebranding of Red Fox, along with some of its other beloved cheeses. According to a press release, the redesign features eye-catching packaging, a vibrant color palette, and greater emphasis on the brand’s playful fox.
Silver Fox is a truly distinctive cheese. It boasts both a savory, rich depth and sweet hints of caramel as the salt crystals crunch to tempt taste buds. The cheese ends with a creaminess that will leave shoppers wanting more. Belton Farm’s master cheesemakers use local milk from free-range grass-fed cows to craft the cheese. Slowly matured for around 18 months, each cheese is graded and inspected before earning the Silver Fox packaging.
