Blue Moose Introduces Organic Cheese Spreads For WFFS

BOULDER, CO
Monday, January 13th, 2020

While the start of a new year always ushers in a refreshed wave of health-conscious consumers, Blue Moose is making sure the health and organic trend sticks all 2020 long. This year, just in time for the Winter Fancy Food Show, the Boulder-based brand is unveiling an organic cheese spread—an addition that ups the ante of its all natural line in more ways than one.

Conrad Skelton, CEO, Blue Moose of Boulder“Organic cheeses are not easy to come by, and the cheese spread category is no exception. On top of that, it can be hard to find clean ingredient labels. With our new organic cheese spread, we’re giving consumers more accessibility to those in-demand organic ingredients,” Conrad Skelton, CEO, explained to me. “We currently offer our all natural cheese spreads, but the organic option takes our original formula’s and does it one step better.”

One way Blue Moose is stepping up its cheese spread options is by infusing the organic line with unique, mouthwatering flavors, like Organic Red Pepper Asiago Dip, Organic Parmesan Peppercorn Ranch Dip, and Organic Onion Cheddar Dip. These eye-catching, fun, and intriguing flavors, while approachable, are also far from the standard—a key point of differentiation on store shelves.

“Because of their flavors, our organic cheese spreads will be translatable to anywhere in the grocery store and not restricted to just the cheese section. Another way we’re going beyond the cheese case is by expanding our mini grab-and-go format to our cheese spread offerings. This is a way to capture an untapped market and lean further into the Keto-friendly market,” Conrad noted.

Conrad continued, “We’ve doubled down on our support of retailers, which has led us to increase our promotional activity, attend more shows, and make the programs we have work better than ever. We’ve upped our presence so now we can keep up with the best of them.”

Conrad then concluded, “I can never not take a moment to be grateful for the culture of Blue Moose. It’s such a unique group of people, who work so hard. It wouldn’t be possible without them—it’s not normal to be in a situation where everyone is all in like this.”
