In just a few days, the Western Foodservice and Hospitality Expo will kick off at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and you can bet California dairy will be in attendance. Bringing culinary inspiration to the upcoming event, the California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) will be showcasing a variety of diverse dairy products, including specialty and commodity cheeses, butter, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and gelato.
Newly introduced to the event is the California Pizza Challenge, sponsored by CMAB and held at the Pizza Tomorrow Summit Pavilion. As a press release detailed, the competition celebrates California’s long history of producing high-quality cheeses for pizza with four culinary events that highlight California cheese, as well as four “Pizza Athletic” categories demonstrating the dexterity and agility needed in the pizza kitchen on a busy night.
Many top California dairy processors will be in attendance, including Angelo & Franco, California Dairies, Inc. (CDI), Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), Di Stefano Cheese, Double Rainbow Ice Cream, Gelato Festival, Karoun Dairies, Leo Leo Gelato, Petit Pot, and Super Store Industries (SSI).
Attendees are encouraged to stop by CMAB’s booth, booth #1467, during the August 25–27 event to learn more about foodservice offerings from California dairy farmers.
