Fall is officially here, and that means mouth-watering fall dishes will adorn dinner tables all season long. The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) recently announced the launch of its Real California Butter campaign as consumers ready to kick off the fall baking season. The new, month-long promotion will focus on crafting delicious fall treats with California butter as the star ingredient.

Katelyn Harmon, Director of Business Development, U.S. Retail, California Milk Advisory Board“Butter is a crucial ingredient in pies, crumbles, breads, and so many of the baked goods we enjoy during the cooler months,” said Katelyn Harmon, Director of Business Development, U.S. Retail. “We are encouraging families to use high quality, sustainably produced Real California Butter in their favorite baking recipes.”

The promotion will be supported with in-store media that will be prominently displayed at 475 California grocery stores, including Raley’s, Mollie Stone’s Markets, Lucky Supermarkets, FoodMaxx, and Save Mart. According to a press release, integrated digital media will include geotargeted email communication, recipe and related site banner ads, sponsored social media posts, and food influencer partnerships to spotlight California butter. Some of the recipes showcasing the star quality of Real California Butter include Apple Brown Butter Crumble with Caramel Sauce and Poached Pears in Puff Pastry with Honey Whipped Cream.

California leads the nation in butter production thanks to milk produced by California’s dairy farm families, the press release stated. California milk and dairy foods can be identified by the Real California Milk seal, which certifies they are made exclusively with milk from the state’s dairy farms.

Something tells me shoppers will be pouring into grocery stores in search of all the ingredients necessary to bring those delicious fall flavors to life, and high-quality dairy products will surely be on that list.
