Could it be? Are we already counting down the days to the Specialty Food Association’s Winter Fancy Food Show (WFFS)? The event is fast approaching, and attendees should be excited to find out Champignon North America will be drawing attention to its assortment of Briette fine cheeses in a fresh pack, alongside its award-winning lineup of whole cheeses, including Cambozola, Cambozola Black label, Grand Noir, and Champignon Mushroom.

Mike Hatch, Executive Vice President of Retail Sales, Champignon North America“Our whole wheel brands are well-established in the United States market and trusted by consumers to be of the best quality and very approachable flavor profiles,” shares Mike Hatch, Executive Vice President of Retail Sales. “We aim to further our distribution as many retailers up their game in the specialty cheese segment, adding new stores and cheese departments across the country.”

The company’s portfolio of Briette varieties includes Creamy & Mild, Creamy & Blue, Creamy Buttery Red, and its two newest arrivals: Smoky and Dulce de Leche.

“Briette is a great solution for retailers looking to minimize labor and shrink,” explains Mike. “Our two newest Briette cheeses are perfectly balanced with only the essence of each flavor profile to enhance and permeate the cheese itself. The result is a subtle surprise of either Smoky or Caramel, which is balanced perfectly to not overwhelm the creaminess of the cheese itself. Lastly, with a longer shelf life, we are able to keep enough inventory in our U.S. warehouse to be able to provide a consistent supply to our retailers all year long.”

Attendees of the WFFS will have an opportunity to get a closer look at these advantageous offerings.

“WFFS is the perfect venue for us to grow our brands, as nearly every side of the specialty food industry is represented. Having a booth provides a comfortable venue for productive meetings and showcasing our products,” Mike points out. “The show also fosters a collaborative atmosphere, where we can hone in on the opportunities with our brands, whether with new placements or promotional strategies.”

As it looks to future growth, the supplier plans to continue refining its sales efforts in the U.S. market, recently expanding its reach by offering more pre-packed, exact-weight products.

“In 2023, we will be working on our brands to look into opportunities with foodservice, airlines, cruises, and other applicable segments,” Mike teases. “As we quickly move into 2023, stay tuned for new products that will be shown at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City!”
