The Lone Star State and Costco are about to embark on new territory together, with the opening of the bulk retailer’s first Texas Costco Business Center. Citing a sign on the property of a former Sam’s Club, Dallas News reported the 8282 Park Lane, Dallas location is set to be converted into a Costco Business Center. While Costco currently operates 18 Business Centers throughout the continental U.S., this would be the first location in Texas.
Though the Business Centers are geared towards, you guessed it, business customers, all Costco members are able to shop in these locations. The product selection caters more to small businesses and restaurant owners, as opposed to traditional Costco stores, aimed at the individual consumer. The remodel of the 133,000-square-foot building will cost the retailer roughly $10 million.
The Business Centers offer a delivery service through which orders placed before 3 p.m., Monday through Friday will be delivered the next day. As an added bonus, a customers’ previous orders are catalogued, so items can be easily reordered.
Costco representatives were unable to comment on the opening of the center.
